Six at 1,430 yen and up
Affiliate links
Doujin manga lists at a median of 770 yen. Across 787 best sellers, 13% pass 1,100 yen. For games the figure is 68%.
These six are the dearest by list price: 1,430 to 1,980 yen, which puts them level with the 1,980-yen median for doujin games. Manga reaches that price by being an omnibus, by being full colour, or by collecting a run.
None of the six has a trial. The dearer the book, the more you would want to look first — and with manga you cannot.

Price charts sit under each title. The strong line is a price we actually saw; the pale line is a stretch we did not check, where we take the sale as having ended when DLsite said it would (pale dots mean still to come). The scale starts at zero, so a half-price sale drops half the height.
Before you buy: Visa and Mastercard are declined at DLsite's checkout. Setting up a way to pay takes about ten minutes, once. How to buy on DLsite from the US →

That dear books have no trial is about the format, not the price
Trial rates run 77% of games, 75% of video, 45% of ASMR, 15% of CG sets and 11% of manga. The format decides it, not the price. Every title on this page lists at 1,430 yen or more and not one has a trial. DLsite's trial hands over a file, which sits badly with manga, where a slice of the book is simply the book. What you usually get instead is a longer run of sample images on the product page — count those before paying for a dear one. (Measured 31 October 2026 across 2,902 best sellers.)
